Summer Fun - I Heart Face Challenge

Attack of the Seaweed

We discovered a great beach at the end of the summer, and we spent a whole day rolling around in the sand. I took this picture right before Riley dropped this seaweed on Zoey, who had dug herself a hole. Ahhhh, childhood. Goodbye, summer. I'm going to miss you.

Hey Girl - I Heart Faces Challenge

Hey Girl, I saw you on the beach and thought you were beautiful.

People may get tired of seeing photos of Sarah, my "House Model," but I never tire of shooting her. This was a shot that came as a surprise to me - it wasn't until I saw it on the monitor that I thought it was anything worth saving. I absolutely love how peaceful she looks and the haphazard angle of her necklace.

Check out all of the gorgeous women in this month's challenge!

Black and White - I Heart Faces

I Dare You

Perhaps my favorite photo of Madison. This expression says it all. Until this challenge I hadn't thought about a tighter crop or B&W - this one is going on the wall. Check out all of the gorgeous black and whites this month!

John & Jillian - Cape Cod Couples Photo Shoot

I had the pleasure of doing a quick shoot with John, and his girlfriend, Jillian, on Saturday. We went to Chatham to one of my favorite beaches. It was pretty cold and windy, but they were good sports and we had a great time. And I am so glad Jillian wore that gorgeous red coat!

Best Face of 2011 - I Heart Faces Challenge

It's almost impossible to take a bad picture of Sarah, she's just so gorgeous. But this is the one I come back to time and time again as being my favorite from the year. It's exactly as I pictured it in my mind - which almost never happens.

Lots of beautiful faces - go check them out!

Happy New Year!

The Moon over Crowe's Pasture and the Brewster Flats

OK, time to get back to business! In the past couple of months I have opened a studio and store with my friend and colleague, Julie, who is also a photographer. It's a cute, small space in downtown Dennisport. We have our photography on the walls, and some jewelry, paintings, and hand knits by other artisans. We're hoping that come spring we have more artists in the space. There's space to work and meet with clients, and I am hoping this is the beginning of a great year.

John on the Beach

You would never know that the bulk of this senior shoot took place on a gorgeous, sunny day. On the way back to the cars, the sky turned black, the water kicked up, and I couldn't resist this shot.
